Each year, employees of Ingage embark on a company trip to celebrate the work and achievements of the prior year. This year’s trip took us almost 300 miles south to Nashville, Tennessee. We began the weekend with a happy hour at an arcade, where colleagues caught up, played Pac-Man, pinball, ping pong, and just about any other game imaginable. Saturday evening, we gathered together for a dinner for both employees and guests, where we shared a delicious meal and heard from a couple of our leaders. Additionally, with every company trip, we like to find a way to give back to the community we are visiting.
Saturday morning, we gathered in the downtown branch of the Nashville Public Library for a community service opportunity. Together, we assembled cold and flu kits for Oasis, an organization that provides a variety of critical services to the youth of Nashville. We made 100 kits which included items such as cough drops, tissues, Dayquil, and chapstick. We even heard from Felisha Baquera, the Community and Corporate Relations Manager at Oasis, who detailed the wonderful work that Oasis does in Nashville. Additionally, in collaboration with the Greater Nashville Regional Council, we also spent time making Valentines Day cards for those living in nursing homes in the area. As a team, we wrote 200 cards that we hope will bring joy to the respective recipients.
The rest of the weekend was spent exploring the city with our guests or in small groups. Some went to museums like the Frist Art Museum, the National Museum of African American Music, or the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Ingage team members could often be found congregating in the hotel lounge or rooftop, and restaurant and activity recommendations were swapped throughout the weekend. Overall, it was a weekend of building the Ingage community, exploring Nashville, and celebrating 2023 while looking forward to what this year has to bring.
