It’s hard to believe we’re already preparing for the holidays! We recently held our November Ingage Day team gathering, and this month’s meeting started with enjoying a Thanksgiving meal together for lunch at the Ingage Offices. Our daily work is often at client sites, so it’s nice to get together to see colleagues and friends in person to connect on projects and personal life.
Once lunch was over, we gathered into teams for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. It’s our 11th year of the food drive that benefits our local community, and something that is important to us as a B Corp focused on a triple-bottom-line of people, planet, and profit. Shopping lists in hand, we headed to our cars and began strategizing on the best place to go for grocery shopping. Like a marathon runner carb loading for the big race, we had fueled up for the Thanksgiving Food Drive.
While the focus of our time together was to put boxes together to donate to Crossroads Church, we also had a little fun with a photo scavenger hunt.
.
We found all the Thanksgiving staples, like stuffing and cornbread, and also found ways to get some creative pictures (see above). If you grew up in the 90’s, you probably watched plenty of Supermarket Sweep – and that was us! We were running (ok maybe walking in our tryptophan-induced states), grabbing items and throwing them into the cart. Finding a picture to take and crossing it off our list.
After our shopping and picture-taking was complete, we headed back to the office to pack the boxes to be dropped off at Crossroads Churches in the Dayton/Cincinnati area this weekend. Overall, it was a couple hours of fun and team building, while also working towards contributing to our community.
