Matt B

Matt finds joy in crafting quality software applications that delight clients and customers. He fell in love with software development in 1983 when he copied BASIC code into his Atari 800 from a computer game magazine. In the last 20 years, he has used C, C++, Tcl, VB6, Java, C#, PHP, Python, Ruby and Javascript to attempt to bend computers to perform tasks in manufacturing automation and data acquisition, airline operations, financial services and the retail industry.

Over the last few years, Matt has become passionate about growing the Cincinnati developer community. He was a past co-director for CINNUG and is currently a committee member for the Codemash conference. You will find him at as many software user groups as his time allows.

In order to assist this development community to give back to the community-at-large, he and others organize Southwest Ohio GiveCamp, which pairs non-profits with volunteer developers for a weekend. It was this passion for giving back to society while doing what he loves that led him to become an Ingager.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Dayton. He met his wonderful wife at UD and they went on to have 3 kids. After a 12-year stint living in Atlanta, his family moved back to the Cincinnati area and currently resides in Mason. He enjoys helping out with his son’s Cub Scout Pack, keeping score for his kids’ baseball and softball teams, cheering on the Reds (sometimes) and video gaming.
