Build Practice Lead
Charlie has over 20 years of experience working with development teams to build both commercial and enterprise applications. He brings depth of experience as an individual contributor and technical lead with specialized skills as a DevOps Engineer, Agilest, and even an Ethical Hacker. Charlie enjoys working hand in hand with the business to identify problems, ideate potential solutions, and ultimately deliver working software.
While most of Charlie’s formal training was centered around software engineering, he challenges himself to do more than just learn new programming languages and try out the latest tools. Instead he focuses on learning and using technology, techniques, and processes that enable cross functional teams to deliver business value early and often. He loves being challenged with new problems and methodically troubleshooting complex systems. As a Build Practice Lead, Charlie encourages our development team to approach software projects in this same way.
Charlie has been an active part of the local development community since 2008. He served as Director of Cincinnati .NET User Group from 2013-2019, and is currently involved with Code, Craft, and Community (C3) user group. He also enjoys attending local and regional development conferences. In his spare time Charlie enjoys all things music. He plays guitar in cover bands (The Dublin Defense and Kernel Panic). His addiction to vintage music equipment and his love of troubleshooting lead to a hobby of building and repairing guitar amplifiers. He also enjoys recording and mixing music of his more talented friends.
